News Roundup: Worrying Rat infestation at Livingstone Hospital in the Eastern Cape -

Earlier this week, Deputy Public Protector Kholeka Gcaleka released a statement indicating that 661 beds are rat-infested at Livingstone Hospital in Gqeberha. Certain facilities are dysfunctional and fail to offer quality healthcare to the community. Other shortcomings and deficiencies include staff shortages, crumbling infrastructure, a shortage of medical equipment and an insufficient supply of PPE.
