News roundup: Zuma hands himself over to the police

Former president Jacob Zuma handed himself over to the police 45 minutes before the deadline last night. Ordered by the Constitutional Court, he will serve a 15-month sentence after he failed to attend a corruption inquiry. Zuma was admitted to the Estcourt Correctional Centre in KwaZulu-Natal. The Jacob Zuma Foundation released a statement confirming that he “decided to comply with the incarceration order”.

England won 2-1 against Denmark in the semi-final match yesterday. Harry Kane secured their win in the 104th-minute after a winning goal made history for the English team. “For once it went our way today. Credit to the boys, what a performance.”, Kane told ITV.
