Snake Island (Ukraine) (AFP) – Images published by the Ukrainian Defence Ministry on July 8 show Ukrainian troops landing and raising the national flag on Snake Island, a rocky outcrop in the Black Sea in the Odessa Region. Ukraine forced Russian troops from Snake Island last week after a spate of heavy bombardments.
