In scorched UK, source of River Thames dries up

Cirencester (United Kingdom) (AFP) – In Ashton Keynes, a village located near the official source of the river Thames, a dry earthy path is now visible where the river usually flows. Locals say they “haven’t seen it as dry and as empty as this” as England experiences record heat and low rainfalls this summer.
