London (AFP) – Performers dance in the streets of west London as the Notting Hill Carnival returns after a two-year break due to Covid-19. Started as a children’s event by local communities to ease tensions in a racially divided 60s London, the carnival is now a world-renowned celebration of British Afro-Caribbean identity.
