President Cyril Ramaphosa prepares for yet another confrontation with members of parliament over the burglary at his farm in Limpopo, EWN reports. On Tuesday, Ramaphosa will return to Parliament for one of two question sessions during this term.

According to News24, Serena Williams postponed her retirement from tennis on Monday’s opening night of the US Open, as she fought to win in front of a star-studded audience.
“The 23-time Grand Slam winner – who earlier this month signalled she plans to retire from tennis after the tournament – drew on all of her experience to down lowly ranked Montenegrin opponent Danka Kovinic 6-3, 6-3.” Read more here

The Comrades Marathon has been devastated by another tragedy involving a runner who died on Sunday, News24 reports.
The 47-year-old runner with the Adventist Athletic Club in Pretoria, Phakamile Ntshiza, died unexpectedly on route to Durban.
“He collapsed shortly before reaching Drummond – the half-way point of the race – and was declared dead when the Netcare medical team arrived on the scene.” Read more here
