Coal conveyor belt that feeds Eskom power station catches fire – News24

Seriti Resources, the owner of the mine in Mpumalanga and one of the main suppliers of coal to Eskom, stated that an overland conveyor belt at its Kriel mine caught fire earlier on Monday after a veld fire on a neighbouring farm crossed the firebreak into the Seriti property, News24 reports. 

“Seriti is working with Eskom to ensure that there is no disruption to coal supply to the Kriel power station,” Eskom confirmed in a media statement. Read more here

Since 2017, when podcasters Robert Ackerman and Jaye Hunt read a book by Michele’s “Glee” co-star Naya Rivera, jokes about her illiteracy have persisted. Rivera remembered Michele’s unwillingness to improvise with actor Tim Conway in a 2013 “Glee” episode.

Noting that Michele never reacted to Rivera’s charge in the book, Ackerman and Hunt playfully questioned if she could read. Since then, rumours about Michele’s illiteracy have gained traction on social media. Read more here
