News24 journalist files urgent case against Zuma to have ‘abusive’ summons thrown out – News24 (for subscribers)

Karyn Maughan, a specialist legal reporter for News24, has filed an urgent appeal with the Pietermaritzburg High Court. According to News24, Maughan has requested that a private prosecution initiated against her by former president Jacob Zuma be dismissed.

Zuma launched a private prosecution against Maughan and State advocate Billy Downer. He apparently deposited R90 000 with the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate’s Court as security for the defence.” Read more here
