Ramaphosa asks SA to ‘persevere’ amid load shedding crisis – EWN

President Cyril Ramaphosa has urged tolerance during load shedding times, stating that he is aware of the misery it has created.

Saturday’s Heritage Day festivities at the Union buildings in Tshwane were utilised by the president to address some of the country’s ongoing issues, EWN reports. 

“As South Africans, as we have done in the past, we have persevered, and I ask once again let us persevere, the challenge is being addressed, it’s a complex one,” said Ramaphosa. Read more here

Rihanna to perform at Super Bowl LVII – Daily Maverick

Rihanna is expected to perform at Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona on February 12.

According to the Daily Maverick, the nine-time Grammy winner uploaded a picture of her arm clutching a football on social media on Sunday, and the NFL retweeted the same image with the remark “Let’s Go!” with the hashtag SBLVII. Read more here

Siya Kolisi, the captain of the Springboks, expressed regret about the team’s failure to capitalise on the first All Blacks victory going into the Rugby Championship, News24 reports.
