During the national assembly on Thursday, President Cyril Ramaphosa admitted that the government has been a massive failure in terms of energy security, as the country confronts its worst load shedding to date.
“Current management is unravelling a lot of corruption. And even as people say they must go, they are becoming so focused on unravelling corruption,” the president said. Read more here
Trevor Noah end time at Daily Show – Daily Maverick
After seven years as host of “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central, comedian Trevor Noah announced he would be leaving the show, the Daily Maverick reports.
After Jon Stewart’s departure in 2015, Noah hosted the show for seven years.
“We have laughed together, we have cried together. But after seven years, I feel like it’s time,” said Noah. Read more here

According to News24, German racing great Hans-Joachim Stuck describes the possibility of Mick Schumacher being forced out of Formula 1 as “completely incomprehensible”.
