With ANC election done, here’s what’s next on Ramaphosa’s list: The crumbling state, Cabinet reshuffle, 2024 polls – Daily Maverick

Following his re-election, Ramaphosa has a strengthened political hand and will want to reshuffle his cabinet, possibly as early as January, to reward his backers and remove his detractors from office. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and Lindiwe Sisulu are among those rumoured to get the axe while the new secretary general of the ANC, Fikile Mbalula, will likely resign as transport minister with his new job at Luthuli House a full-time position. Harvey Weinstein found guilty of rape and sexual assault in Los Angeles trial – The Guardian

In California, a Los Angeles jury found former big time Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein guilty of rape and sexual assault after more than nine days of deliberation. Weinstein was convicted of three counts of rape and sexual assault against one woman, a European model and actor who testified anonymously as “Jane Doe 1”. The jury was divided on three other charges of rape and sexual assault by two other accusers. Read more here.

Banyana Banyana players finally paid bonuses – Scrolla

Five players who were born in Limpopo have finally received their R100,000 bonuses from the provincial department of sport after they were promised the bonuses having been part of the team that won the Women’s African Cup of Nations. The players also received an extra R2,000 each from the Limpopo Businesswomen Association. The department said the delay in payment was an administrative oversight on its part and that the matter was bring investigated. Read more here.
