Congratulations are in order for recent South African graduate, Cayla Janse van Rensburg on being accepted to specialise in health data science for her master’s at the University of Cambridge in England!
Janse van Rensburg graduated from the University of Pretoria with a degree in industrial engineering and, in the next step of her academic career, aims to develop models to capture the dynamic movement and spread of infectious diseases in populations.
“With my broad foundation in industrial engineering, I am equipped with the skills required to pursue a master’s degree in healthcare. Hence, my advice is to think outside the box, be creative and make the most of the diverse opportunities available to you,” she said.
