Muslims around the world celebrate Eid, marking Ramadan’s end

Mecca (Saudi Arabia) (AFP) – Muslims around the world perform morning prayers to celebrate the holiday of Eid al-Fitr marking the end of the Ramadan, Islam’s holy fasting month. The timing of Eid al-Fitr is determined by the sighting of the crescent moon, in accordance with the Muslim lunar calendar.
