Humpback whales, Brazil’s new approach to ecotourism

Niterói (Brazil) (AFP) – The colossal humpback whales were once on the verge of extinction. Today, with growing numbers, they transit through the coast of Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro on their journey to a northern state. Their presence is the perfect opportunity for whale-watching expeditions, aiming to raise awareness and protect marine fauna.
