Tel Aviv (AFP) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says his country wants relations with the new Syrian government, but warns that Israel “will respond forcefully” if Iran establishes a presence in the neighbouring state or if Syria “permits the transfer of Iranian weapons or any other weapons to Hezbollah, or if it attacks us.”
