In a separate article for News24, Gift of the Givers, a South African non-governmental organization (NGO), plans to give humanitarian relief. “The charity’s intervention will include providing emergency medical and non-medical assistance to front line facilities and internally displaced civilians in Ukraine. The NGO will also contribute to funding the repatriation of South African students wanting to return home rather than stay in Europe.”

The South African entertainment industry is in mourning following the sudden death of Tumi Mooi, professionally known as DJ Dimplez.

His family has released a statement on Sunday afternoon confirming that the hip hop artist died at 1.15pm from a brain haemorrhage. Tributes continue to pour in for the “We Ain’t Leaving” hitmaker.

“We would like to be given time to grieve as the family is still coming to terms with the news. We confirm that he succumbed to a brain haemorrhage, unfortunately we can’t share any more details as we are requesting privacy during this difficult time,” said family spokesperson Shekeshe Mokgosi.
