Nightly power cuts reduced to stage 3 – eNCA

Eskom has confirmed that stage 3 load shedding will continue this weekend. During the evenings, “power cuts will be reduced from Stage 4 to Stage 3.” This is because PetroSA has just delivered diesel to Eskom. The continuous power outages, according to eNCA, are mostly attributable to the high rate of breakdowns and the limited emergency generation reserves. Each generating unit at Grootvlei, Kendal, and Tutuka power stations has been taken offline since Wednesday afternoon for maintenance. Read more here

Cristiano Ronaldo stated on Thursday that he has put his recent issues with Manchester United behind him after scoring in a record-setting fifth World Cup game and helping Portugal defeat Ghana 3-2, News24 reports.

‘One Bullet, One Pitbull’: ANC politicians share SHOCK poster – The South African 

In Free State, ANC structures are in an uproar after members of the Pando Tladi Branch of the Youth League issued a frightening call to arms, The South African reports. The political group created a poster advocating the elimination of all Pitbulls in South Africa. This was accomplished under the slogan “One Bullet, One Pitbull.” 

“We encourage all breed owners to surrender their dogs to the SPCA, to promote a free and safe community environment. In case of non-cooperation, we encourage the community to find creative ways of eliminating these dogs. We support a total ban on breeding Pitbulls.” Read more here
