On Tuesday, the South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued a Level 6 Orange Warning for severe thunderstorms in Gauteng. The weather warning signal indicates a high probability of severe weather-related consequences, the South African reports. “If in a vulnerable low-lying area, place valuable items on desks or cupboards for protection. If possible, keep contact with you local disaster manager, council leader or listen to the radio for updates,” said the spokesperson for the weather service. Read more here
