Once pristine North Macedonia lake threatened by climate change

Prespes Lake (Macedonia) (AFP) – Climate change, unchecked pumping and pollution are putting the once pristine Lake Prespa at risk, experts say. The lake – which straddles the borders of Albania, Greece and North Macedonia – is shrinking rapidly, which is putting the animals and nearby environment that depend on it increasingly at risk.
