Steytlerville (South Africa) (AFP) – Nestled deep in South Africa’s semi-desert Karoo region, a glittery weekly drag show at a charming old hilltop hotel brings a burst of excitement to the conservative, sleepy town of Steytlerville. Every Saturday night, hotel owners and couple Mark Hinds and Jacques Rabie amaze their guests with a night-long cabaret and drag show. “A female impersonation show happening at this hotel in the middle of the Karoo, in the middle of absolutely nowhere creates curiosity,” says Hinds.
