Guns flood Catalonia’s cannabis trade


Constantí (Spain) (AFP) – In the dead of night, armed Spanish police raid homes in a small Catalan town, looking for hidden marijuana plantations run by criminal gangs with serious firepower. The wealthy northeastern region of Spain has become a production hub for cannabis and, as a result, guns are becoming increasingly common, with instances of armed violence on the rise.
