Held for the first time, “Change The Punchline!” is a month-long all-female stand-up comedy residency in Bucharest. The aim: to encourage a new generation of female comedians to kick off their career.

But after Osaka’s Hanshin Tigers recent win, luck no longer needed, a ritual to show gratitude is held at a temple before the disposal of the “dilapidated” statue.

Russia accuses IOC of ‘racism and neo-Nazism’


Moscow (AFP) – Russia’s foreign ministry accuses the International Olympic Committee (IOC) of “racism and neo-Nazism” over its imposition of neutrality rules for Russian Olympians and possible sanctions for athletes who take part in the Kremlin-organised “Friendship Games.” On Tuesday, the IOC barred Russian athletes from taking part in the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Games and criticised Moscow for planning its own rival competition.
