Biggest mosque in London holds remembrance service for Queen Elizabeth II


London (AFP) – A special remembrance service for Queen Elizabeth II is held in Baitul Futuh Mosque, where attendees thank her for her work with minority groups and for providing “freedom of religion.” “Everybody loved her, no matter what race or religion you came from,” says Sadika Miles, who attended the service.

Ukraine’s Zelensky says army reclaims 400 settlements in Kharkiv region


Kyiv (Ukraine) (AFP) – In his nightly address, President Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukraine’s forces have retaken 400 settlements in the Kharkiv region during the swift counter-offensive in September, liberating around 150,000 people from occupation. Zelensky also condemns a Russian missile attack on a dam of reservoir in his home town, Kryvyi Rih.
