Top News: How deadly is Omicron?

Cape Town – Localised reports indicate that omicron is less lethal than delta. While South African medical reports and covid data show that cases have increased substantially since 1st December, most patients display mild symptoms at worst. In the UK, patients with severe Covid-19 symptoms develop a respiratory system illness that requires more oxygen than usual and an immune disease called “cytokine storm”.

In entertainment news, the high court in Johannesburg dismissed the application submitted by Jub Jub’s mother, Jacqueline “Mama Jackie” Mpambani yesterday. The court ruled that the defamation case will not be heard on an urgent basis after Mama Jackie demanded the rape accusations by Amanda du-Pont and Masechaba Khumalo be removed from social media.
