Top News: South Africa remains on Lockdown Level 1

Health Minister Joe Phaahla informed the media that the country remains on adjusted Lockdown Level 1. The Department of Health will continue to monitor the infections closely. Phaahla encouraged all South Africans to get vaccinated as a safety precaution against the virus. The NCID reported 24,785 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

SA Rugby director Rassie Erasmus has given South African a close look into his new lifestyle after being banned from all rugby-related activities for 60 days. “Every day is like a Friday,” Rassie says. Erasmus was found guilty of six charges of misconduct during the Springboks series in July.
