Rafah (Palestinian Territories) (AFP) – Foreign passport holders wait at the Rafah border crossing on Gaza’s southern border with Egypt, hoping to find their names on the list of those permitted to leave the embattled territory. Some are staying at the crossing point, afraid of Israel’s expanded military campaign which, for over a week now, has been focusing on Gaza’s southern cities. “We have been stuck here for 18 days,” says Noura al-Sayed Hasan, an Egyptian passport holder, who is with her young daughter, “I can’t even find any bread.”
